About Company
The Alliance for Language Technologies (ALT-EDIC) implements a Multi Country Project (MCP) aiming at developing a common European infrastructure in Language Technologies (LTs). It seeks to improve European competitiveness in LT and uphold Europe’s linguistic diversity and cultural richness.
The European Digital Infrastructure Consortium for the Alliance for Language Technologies (ALT-EDIC) was officially set up on February 7 th , 2024, by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/458. It gathers 16 Members States and 7 observing Member States. It is coordinated and hosted by France, and it has its statutory seat in Villers-Cotterêts.
The ALT-EDIC will serve its members and the LT community by increasing the availability of European language data, enhancing their interoperability, strengthening the offer of LT evaluation, fostering networking, and contributing to common policies for LT. The fast progress of LTs such as Large Language Models (LLMs) puts the ALT-EDIC at the heart of the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
The ALT-EDIC seeks talents from various EU Member States to form its core team. It will offer an international environment and interactions with a wide range of stakeholders. The daily work will take place in Villers-Cotterêts and/or in Paris, with meetings taking place at both locations.
Working at the ALT-EDIC comes with a competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience. Remote work can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
